While at USA Network we were eager to establish ourselves more prominently as a brand, and launched a new campaign, logo, and slogan, "Characters Welcome” to help emphasize the wide range of programming the network offered. The launch of the campaign featured promos themed around the diverse characters from the network's programs and also launched numerous extensions of the rebrand to connect the idea of being a “character” to everyone in the country.
Characters Welcome
In 2009 we launched "Character Project," a multi-pronged artistic initiative to pay tribute to people from all walks of life across the U.S. In line with its "Characters Welcome" brand, we assembled 11 world-class photographers to create a book, “Character: A Photographic Journey”, as well as a country wide touring exhibition. Character Project was a companion to additional campaigns, "Characters Unite" which was dedicated to combating intolerance and promoting acceptance and understanding and “Character Approved” which celebrated the people, places & things making cultural waves.
